Lobird is making every effort towards being an environmentally friendly company.
Actions taken to be green include printing our note cards, invitations and gift tags on paper that is 100% FSC (Forest Steward Council) certified and that is manufactured with 100% Certified Renewable Energy. Our Green Series is printed on paper that is 100% recycled post consumer fiber. We are working towards offering our green series paper as an option for all of our cards. Our Lobird Boxes are also made from 100% recycled paperboard.
Our commitment to the Environment
In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint,Lobird has made a commitment to planting a tree for every order we receive online. To achieve this we have partnered with American Forests, the oldest citizens’ conservation organization, a world leader in planting trees for environmental restoration, a pioneer in the science and practice of urban forestry, and a primary communicator of the benefits of trees and forests.
American Forests is the nation’s oldest nonprofit citizen’s conservation organization, founded in 1875. American Forests is about action and that is the focus of their major campaigns. The organization's primary campaigns are “Tree-Planting for Environmental Restoration” and “Reversing the National Urban Tree Deficit,” which encourage people to improve rural, suburban, and urban ecosystems by planting and caring for trees that provide important environmental and economic benefits including pure water, clean air, and wildlife habitat.
